Toledo is a picturesque, historic city enclosed by old city walls. With the Cathedal at the center, vast network of streets and alleys radiate outwards forming a gigantic maze. It is recommended to explore the city on foot but with temperature of over 40C, it is a miracle you can get out alive! Still, if you have only got one day in Madrid, "waste" it here!

Famous and mysterous place where the nuns sell marzipan. According to Globe Trekker, one has to ring the doorbell, then a hand will come and take the money and give you the goodies, without revealling the identify of the seller throughout the process.

The business is so successful that the nuns decided to learn Japanese too.. (why no Chinese?)
Iglesia de Santa Tome, where the famous masterpiece of El Greco is held: The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. The painting inside has never been moved nor restored before.

Sculptures on Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes... with that many pigeons on him, no wonder his face looks so sad!
