The stairs in the middle (near to where the coach was) was the place where we climbed and started our tour. Once up there, we will go counter-clockwise and will come back down through the same stairs
| We started climbing the wall near Pile Gate. The first sight we saw was a top view of Onofrio's Great Fountain
| Once you have climbed up you could easily see the roofs of all the houses in the old city. Most of them were in the same terracotta color
| A nice view of the old city with the Stradun (longest street) and the 1444 Bell Tower

The dome belongs to the Dubrovnik Cathedral. On the right is the St. Catherine's Covent
| According to the legend, this cathedral was funded by King Richard the Lionheart after he survived a shipwreck on his return from the 3rd crusade
| The other side of the wall. The whole wall runs uninterruptedly for 1940m and completely encloses the old city
| Pile Gate from above. They were running a Dali exhibition

Area outside the Pile Gate, technically this area is no longer classified as the Old Town
| Continuing on along the wall... We are currently walking along the western side of the wall
| Some parts of the wall was quite wide and some part was quite narrow
| We thought we have already climbed high enough, obviously we were wrong and had more work to do
