Album: Male Airport and Hulhule Island hotel (1 night)
The international airport of Maldives is on an island of its own, with Hulhule Island Hotel as the only hotel here. I guess the only good thing of staying here to a hotel in Male is when you arrive late in a stormy night and has to catch an early plane the next morning!

| Album: Trans Maldivian Airways
Not all Maldives islands are near to Male and the airport. If yours is not, then most likely you will need to fly there. TMA is one of the seaplane operators in Maldives. It can be a good excuse for us to get up in the air and view the astonishing atolls from above.

| Album: Angsana Velavaru - the island & the resort
The island itself is not big and there is not much to do there. But who needs all that when all you need in Maldives is the sun, sand and the azure water?! ...oh yes, and you also need some nice weather too!

| Album: Angsana Velavaru - InOcean Villas
Completely separated from the main island, these IOVs can operate on their own in the middle of the ocean with its own reception, restaurant and Spa. Non-residents could come over here to have a look and drool over what they have missed regrettably.

Album: Inside My Beachfront JetPool Villa (3 nights)
This villa is nothing when compared to the InOcean counterpart; but still you get the jetpool, the outdoor showering experiences and the beach... and not to mention the hospitality of quite a few giant black ants around... oh and it is much cheaper too

| Album: Inside My 2 nights InOcean Villa
InOcean Villas (IOV), definitely the best and the most expensive type of rooms I have ever stayed... Besides the attractive private infinity pool that offers panoramic ocean view, the most unique aspect is to be able to 'dive' directly to the shallow Maldivian sea for snorkeling or swimming. IMHO, I think it is worth the money if you can afford it.

| Album: Food and Beverages in Angsana Velavaru
We had the half board option so we only needed to worry about our lunches. The dinners were buffets on the island side and fine dining was served in the IOVs.

| Album: Night Fishing on a Dhoni
The night fishing activity in Maldives is supposed to be a Kinder's Egg where you get a 3-in-1 package of sunset watching, night fishing and stars-gazing over the tranquil water of the Indian Ocean... oh well, at least we got 2 of these wishes granted...

Album: Snorklelling in Angsana Velavaru
Maldives is presumably one of the best places for snorkelling as you can easily see lots of reefs and fishes near the shore... provided that you have the right weather condition. For us the annoying waves and currents made the activity not as easy as we thought.

| Album: A taste of Angsana Spa
On the last day, since we had nothing much to do after check-out, so we went to check out the famous Angsana Spa, it turned out to be one of the best I have tried...

| Album: Male
The capital island of Maldives, so small that the airport must be built in a nearby island. So small that they say it will disappear after 50 years. Like all other tourists who could only spare a few hours before their night flights, we only managed to catch a glimpse of Male this time!
