Vincent Poon :: Wadi Rum (8-Sep)

Although it is usually associated with Lawrence of Arabia, Wadi Rum is more than his footprints... If Egypt's B & W desert's theme is Black and White, then Wadi Rum's is definitely the Red. If Morocco's Mergouza is famous for the sand dunes, then Wadi Rum is definitely for its rock formations..

After getting a friendly hitch-hike, I finally arrived in the Rum Village
Now I need to find the sunset camp company, I was told there were many(!) and finally I was told to follow the antenna to reach Mohammed's House
A charming camel resting lazily... probably it is not her shift yet...
A white camel, though he looks relatively under-fed...

After a long walk... is this the Lawrence's Spring.. 'A paradise just 5 feet square'... I am sure the Austrians were as puzzled as me...
A train of Camel riders... good luck to them under this heat
Many jeeps stopped here at our 2nd stop
Obviously another famous sight but since our tour guide was also the driver who had limited English, so not sure what this was
