Vincent Poon :: Hotels, hostels and tents..

Definitely not the most luxurious trip this was! (and definitely not the worst!) The only good thing about these hotels/hostels/camps were the price, especially in Jordan!

Although most people would like to stay in the New City in Jerusalem for the modern hotels I would recommend you to try to stay in the Old City as it turned out after dark the Old City was quite a different experience! And don't tell me that you have not been warned!! ;)

You have to climb at least 2 flights of stairs from the street level. This hostel also had curfew so you'd better not hang around outside too late
Interesting design and architecture inside the hostel. The hotel was here since 1740
The roof was glass so there was lots of lights during the day
Since it was Ramadan then, there was no breakfast served, otherwise it would be nice to have breakfast here

There was a well on the roof??!! What for?
Nice view from the roof
View of the Muslim Quarter from the rooftop
The rooftop provided an excellent view of the Dome of the Rock

Booked hotel called C Eliat (6-8 Sep), turned out to be this one. They couldn't be bothered to change the name yet. (656HKD/night)
The room was quite spacious and I had a small balcony for hanging my clothes. I loved the water dispenser that wasn't doing anything in the middle of the room
Toilet was so so considered this to be quite dated.
They actually had a couple of swimming pools in this hotel
