Haram esh-Sharif, or Temple Mount is the place where the first temple was built by King Solomon and was subsequently torn down by the Romans. Thereafter, Dome of the Rock was built and then became the 3rd most sacred place for the Muslims

It is hard to miss the golden dome in the old city of Jerusalem and for non-muslims like me, you are only allowed to enter the plaza and not inside to see the foundation stone ('The Rock')

Got to take a photo here, it is not a place that is easily to get to. Hope one day non-muslims can visit too.

Dome of the Chain, right next to Dome of the Rock

The building in Islamic tradition is the spot where Judgment Day will occur and where a chain will stop the sinful and let the just pass through

The interior tiling was spendid

The golden dome was actually made of solid gold. In 1993, King Hussein of Jordan sold one of his houses to fund the 80 kg of gold required to refurbish the dome

Chain Gate, this is where you would exit back to the old city after your visit.

Sabil of Qaitbey, a public fountain built in 15th century, the superb carved stone dome was the only one of its kind in the Holy Land

Exiting back to the old city by Chain Gate. A final glance before I left this magical place..
