Vincent Poon :: Dead Sea & Ein Gedi Spa (4-Sep)

Many people know you can float in the Dead Sea, but few know that it is also the lowest point on the earth surface. (423m below sea level) While there are many public "beaches" along the shoreline of the Dead Sea, I chose Ein Gedi Spa, which for ~140 HKD I got to experience Dead Sea and its mineral water at its best!

Next stop... dead sea mud
Free of charge, take as much as you want!
These two men love the mud so much that they decide to soak inside the tank!
Camouflaged!

People just wandered around with the emperor's new coat
The Ein Gedi Spa complex. Used to be built next to the desert highway and the Dead Sea shore, but now miles away from the Sea because of the drop of the water level
The bus stop for the bus to go to the Dead Sea..
I missed the bus so I had to walk all the way to the Sea...

I missed the bus so I had to walk all the way to the Sea...
It is a very, very long walk under the sun, never attempt it again even though I had the mud to protect me from the UV!
Well there is definitely no deep mud I see... wrong season of the year?
The bus is made up of a tractor and a few carriages
Finally I am there!
