Vincent Poon :: A culinary experience from the Balkans
 
The original intention was always to try out the local specialty of the cuisine from the various countries in the  Balkan peninsula. However after 2 weeks of eating many pasta, seafood, bread and meat I am not sure at the end what I ate was anything local or just made for the tourists.

stocking up breakfast for tmr at a very famous local bakery
24-sep, breakfast, we had a thunderstorm and these (together with a cup noodle) were the stuff we had to last until the storm was over
It was late evening before the rain stopped. We settled our dinner at this Konaba Penatur, another tourist trap! Stay away!
Chicken and rice

We had mussels... very nice!
The baby squids were nice too, and plentiful, we just could not finish the lot

Total with drinks were only 194 HRK, quality food at a reasonable price, highly recommended to anyone who is going to Dubrovnik!
For dinner we dined at Kamenice, we saw tourists queued up so we thought it might be worth something.. this was the green salad
We had shrimp risotto and...
... shrimp taglitale, total cost came to 206 HRK, not bad in terms of price vs. quality for dining in the Dubrovnik Old City
Total with drinks were only 194 HRK, quality food at a reasonable price, highly recommended to anyone who is going to Dubrovnik!
