Vincent Poon :: A culinary experience from the Balkans

The original intention was always to try out the local specialty of the cuisine from the various countries in the  Balkan peninsula. However after 2 weeks of eating many pasta, seafood, bread and meat I am not sure at the end what I ate was anything local or just made for the tourists.

After the tour of the Bled Island we arrived the Park Cafe which was besides the Lake Bled
and in here we were sold the Creme Cake of Lake Bled
We did not have a chance to sit down and enjoy in the cafe so we took one away (3.6 EUR), actually was really good if you are into these kinds of cakes
At night we went to the supermarket and bought back some Slovenia yougurt
and some cup noodles... can't resist to have a try on what it tasted like... *slurp* well, our cup noodles definitely have a market here

30-sep, breakfast from yesterday's bread (0.78 EUR - for once we were not ripped off)
At the cafe in the Skocjan cave area, they served a variety of drinks and milkshakes... with a 2 hour trail ahead, I wouldn't want to risk a diarrhea in the cave so I decided to give these a pass
and instead just bought the Apple Strudel (2.9 EUR)
After the tiring walk in the cave we wanted to sit down and have a meal but we had to catch a very infrequent train. So we could only afford a coffee here
