The Prats' family has an illustrious wine history which started over 100 years ago when Bruno Prats' grand-father, Fernand Ginestet, acquired Chateau Cos d'Estournel in 1917. Not content with making perhaps the most famous wine of St. Estephe, Bruno Prats embarked on a series of ambitious wine projects, all of which have granted him international acclaim in his own right.

These include:

Vina Aquitania
In Chilie, a joint venture with Paul Pontallier of Chateau Margaux and Ghislain de Montgolfier of Bollinger fame.

Anwilka Vineyards
In South Africa, a co-venture with Lowell Jooste, former owner of Klein Constantia estate and Hubert de Bouard de Laforest, owner of Chateau Angelus.

Prats & Symington
In Portugal's Douro, another joint venture with the family of Graham's, Dow's, Warre's ports fame.

Iberica Bruno Prats
The latest and final project of Bruno Prats, located in Spain's Alicant region.

Vina Aquitania - SOLdeSOL Pinot Noir 2008
-the wine reveals a range of aromas where cherry stone and liquorice notes dominate the palate. A 10-month ageing has reinforced the complexity and the balance of the wine, offering a soft palate with mineral and smoky notes in the finish
Vina Aquitania - Lazuli Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

A fine combination of mint, tar and spices on the nose with a well-integrated oak. Supple tannins which bring an agreeable softness on the palate
Anwilka - Ugaba 2009 
Smoky aromas mingle with vanilla, blackberries and cinnamon spice. It will develop gracefully over the next 4 years.
Iberica Bruno Prats - MosYca 2009
Whose name is the acronym for its components : Monastrell, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon (with a touch of Petit-verdot), is a wine that shows the assimilation of these various grapevarieties in a very "bordelaise" fashion.
Prats & Syminton - Prazo de Roriz Douro DOC 2009
Deep nose, bright fresh raspberry flavour, gamy, and spicy notes. Flavours of black cherry, wet earth, mulberries and cassis rumble around thro' a long finish.

Chryseia in the Greek translation of Douro, literally "of gold" and pays tribute to the successful introduction of classical wine making technique into one of the worlds oldest demarcaked wine region.

100% Monastrell. Powerful yet without heaviness, fresh without greenness, it show a great capacity to age.
