From: Michael (Jun 06, 2005 09:27 HKT) Re: Alien #1. I will suggest you to get the EF 17-40 L or EF-S 17-85 IS instead of 28-135 IS for general purpose, because of 1.6X crop factor of 350D. Also you need to consider upgrade, EF-S won't be good choise if u will upgrade to cam like 1DS. This is the reason I choose 17-40. #2. Ef 85 1.8 is not a bad choice for portrait. It s a great lens.

From: Michael (Jan 28, 2005 16:07 HKT) For this photo, i was using a 28-70 2.8 lens. Using a large aperture or tele lens will shorten the DOF, shutter speed is not related.
