Sinharaja Forest Reserve
As a Biosphere Reserve in 1978 (Biosphere Reserve), there are many unique flora and fauna. Over 60% of trees are endemic. Being the only undeveloped tropical rain forests in the Island, it was included the United Nations World Heritage list in 1988. There were 160 species of birds recorded and 18 of which are endemic.
Sinharaja 的熱帶雨林被劃為聯合國世界遺產, 超過 60% 的樹是當地特有的品種, 亦有許多特有的野生動物, 特別是鳥類, 紀錄有160種, 當中 18 種是當地特有的。
